Our bodies are, essentially, a self-healing organisms or mechanisms. We have an immune system that helps us stay healthy and resist infection. When we get minor illnesses, like colds, digestive upsets, or a passing headache, we get better by a natural process. However, when we get a more serious illnesses, something seems to happen to our self-healing process.
True healing is not just the removal of the symptoms. It is the complete reversal of disease, which includes detoxification (through lungs, skin, liver/bowels and kidneys). Detoxification is defined as the breakdown and removal of diseased cells, and the rebuilding of tissue, with each generation of new cells being a little healthier than its predecessor. A healing crisis occurs when the body is in the process of eliminating toxins. Reactions may be mild to severe and last anywhere from a few days to a week or more. A healing crisis is the result of every body system working together to eliminate waste products and begin the task of the REGENERATIVE PROCESS.
A disease crisis, however, works against the body’s natural process by storing wastes and toxins in the body. Symptoms of a healing crisis may be identical to the disease, but there is an important difference – elimination. A cleansing, purifying process is taking place and stored wastes are in a free flowing state. There are times when pain during a healing crisis is of greater intensity than the building of the chronic disease, which may explain why there can be a brief flare-up in one’s condition.
The crisis usually brings about past conditions in whatever order the body is capable of handling at the time. People often forget the injuries or disease they have had in the past, but are usually reminded during the crisis.
One may experience more than one healing crisis. With more serious conditions, there may be small crises to go through before the final one is possible. Many times the crisis will occur when one feel’s their very best – the body is setting the stage for elimination. The whole body must get into action – many people feel an energy boost the first few days, which will help them as the toxins are dumped into the blood stream for elimination. This process is also known as physical chemicalization (the final release of toxins. It is often associated with a healing crisis in both acute and chronic cases).
Reactions to a healing crisis can include any (or several) of the following:
Sinuses (drainage), Lungs (cough, bad breath, etc…), Digestive Tract (diarrhea, vomiting, nausea) Kidneys (cloudy or foul smelling urine), Skin (hair loss or skin eruption), Uterus (irregular menstrual cycle), Fluid Retention, Headaches, Dizziness, Heart Palpitations, Fever, Liver Pain, Hemorrhoids, Joints and Muscle Aches, Lower Back Pain, Dimming of Vision, Fatigue, Insomnia, Loss of Appetite, Cravings for Toxic Foods, Depression and Irritability.
Diseases associated with toxicity: Acne, Fibrocystic breasts, Psoriasis, Colitis, Eczema, Hemorrhoids, Arthritis, Atherosclerosis, Heavy metal accumulation, Hypertension, Obesity, Uterine fibroids, Allergies (especially food allergies), Cataracts, Ulcer (gastritis), Kidney stones, Premenstrual syndrome, Gallstones, and Boils.

REGENERATIVE PROCESS. As the body obtains the proper nutrients and then utilizes the energy and elements necessary for the body to function properly and regenerate itself. This concept can be reduced to three major principles.
Principle 1 – Our bodies have the innate ability to create balance, order, and health when proper nourishment is put into the body; antitoxins are cleansed from the body.
Principle 2 – Proper nourishment should come from whole foods as much as possible.
Principle 3 – We must be willing to accept responsibility for our own health.
